So... it seems like life in Grande Prairie has just been crazy lately! It started with the whirlwind trip down to calgary, which was honestly the best thing we could have done, and while we were down there, we picked up a change table from Ikea and Mom and Dad bought us a beautiful crib! I was so excited because it felt like now we are really getting prepared for the baby! So, we got home, and the boxes of furniture just sat in our living room for a few days, because everyday Dave got home from work and "was to tired". SO... I didn't want to wait anymore, and I set them both up ALL BY MYSELF, I don't think I have ever been so proud of myself! First I set the crib up, in the living room, and then went to roll it into the babys room, and it wouldn't fit through the doorway, but that didn't stop me, I just rolled it back into the living room, and started on the IKEA change table! During the process, I decided I HATE Ikea furniture, but now that it is set up I LOVE IT! I am so excited, now are little baby can come!
I want the baby to come now, I am 28 weeks and 3 days and it seems like everyday I'm being stretched to the limit! I get to see my doctor every two weeks now, and I am so happy for that, because it just means the baby is so much closer, and I can hardly wait! Lately it seems like someone tapped into my energy and is just draining me, I cannot get enough sleep, so my maternity leave will not come quick enough! Oh... does anyone know how to stop my feet from swelling into little marshmallows everynight, Dave thinks its hilarious, he laughs everynight and then stops real quick when I ask him to rub them, but I would rather just have them not swell anymore???? Do I have to wait to 12 weeks for that to go away, or is there something else to do????

Cute room Meg! I am so proud of you for putting that change table together, I don't think I could do it even if my life depended on it. I had to put together an Ikea side table with 3 legs and top and I did that wrong! The rooms cute! I love your crib!
For me it meant i was getting close. Mine Did that towards the end and brylie was born 2 weeks later. Same happend with my cousin Kristi . So maybe.. (Well you could probably wait a few weeks yet!) The room looks good! It doesn't start feeling real until you start setting stuff up! I"M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!
cute stuff meg! i like the crib a lot. the only thing i can think of for your feet is to elevate them. that might help. check out this website and there might be more suggestions...

it's a great site. i love the pregnancy calender they have on it to.
Good job Meg!! I've had to put together a few IKEA items myself. It's so frustrating, but like you said, it feels good once it's done. Isn't it exciting to get those things done! Now you just need the baby. The last 2 months were always the longest for me. It's just the waiting and waiting. But try to enjoy this time now, cause once that little one arrives you will be one busy bee.
About the swollen feet, you're talking to the stay-puff marshmallow queen!!!! Try to drink lots of water, but, you just might have to put up with a little puffiness till the baby arrives :o(
Thumbs up meg! too cute!
Say hit to dave!
love ya
I remember setting up the crib for the first time!! It really does make the whole experience seem a little more real! It's so hard waiting for that first baby to arrive. The best way to pass the time in my opinion, is to decorate!! You are doing a great job!!
Hey Meghan,
Ikea stuff is fun to set up, but you do have to set it up in the room that it will be going in, I am trying to take apart Rachels desk so that I can move it downstairs... it isn't going well at all.
Where did you get your change table pad? It looks nice and thick. Your crib is beautiful!
Your look great! I am sorry that I missed you last time you were here. I would have loved to have seen you.
Keep your feet up when ever you can and like Jen said, drink lots of water.
Talk with you soon,
Karyn
