Happy Mothers Day to ME!

I jumped into "motherhood" not really thinking about the responsibility required to raise a child "properly", I thought that it would be all kisses and sunshine, happy days at the park and peaceful nights. Healthy Babies and Two Year Olds that listen....I thought my two 1/2 years experience as a nanny was what babies would be like... but OH NO... I was so wrong. Being a mom is nothing that I thought it would be, because it is 1000% better and SO MUCH MORE. I definetly struggle though each day, I believe I teeter between sanity and insanity at moments, and I think eventually I will learn the little lessons on how to prevent my two year old from making repetitive messes constantly. Until then, I laugh and I cry, I hug them and kiss them, I try MY BEST, and sometimes sadly it just isn't enough, but then my great husband steps in. All us moms just do what we have to do, we are forsure all given our different set of trials, I think that are greatest blessing( babies) are often some of our hardest trials.

I think a mother is someone who guides you, teaches you and loves you, someone who you can look up to. Mother is not just a term for a biological attachment. I think of so many women that have shaped me into the mother I am, and I cannot begin to name them. Pretty much eveytime I meet a mother, I see a quality I would like to emulate. I believe being a mother is a process, we are constantly learning to adapt to the new phases are children take and trying to better ourselves.

I love being a mom, I find it harder and more rewarding than I ever thought possible. I am so thankful for all the great moms around me that have taught me how to become better and love my myself and the mom I am.
